Gouk & Sullivan (1971) Ltd has one of the most comprehensive armature, motor rewinding and general electrical repair operations in New Zealand. Full rewind facilities enable us to rewind all types of A.C. and D.C. units from fractional horsepower up to 6500 HP in our workshop or larger machines on site.

All stator/rotor rewinds are processed through a heat-controlled burn out oven insuring no lamination damage or stator frame stress as occurs when using blowtorch etc. for stripping windings. Core loss testing is carried out to insure stator laminations are in good condition before rewinding is carried out. Highest quality insulation systems are used, all windings are class F minimum, solvent less polyester varnished and oven cured.

Vacuum pressure impregnation is available if required. Redesign facilities are available for speed changes, multi speed, supply and frequency variations. Gouk & Sullivan is an active member of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA) and have access to Australian and American engineering programs and databases.
